Beth Dougherty holds a PhD in sociology from Loyola University Chicago and an MA in the Anthropology and Sociology of Religion from King’s College London. Her dissertation was a mixed methods analysis of how multiple religious organizations at local, regional, and national levels focused on engaging participants more effectively. Her current areas of research include: the body and embodiment; the senses; gender; religions; technology health; and digitally networked communities. Along with her academic research and teaching, Beth has experience consulting in the corporate and non profit sectors using qualitative and mixed research methodologies to enhance knowledge. Beth is passionate about helping others achieve their goals throughout their academic career.
