Ben’s Ph.D. in Education, Culture, and Society from the University of Pennsylvania prepared him to consult on a wide range of qualitative and critical research methodologies including narrative, case study, critical discourse analysis, historical, ethnographic, phenomenological, grounded theory, and action research among others. What is more, since 2009, Ben advised nearly 40 dissertation students from the inception of their research to the completion of their dissertations to their walks across the stage, among the proudest accomplishments of his career. Since 2017, he has served as the chairperson of his university’s Internal Review Board, leading it into a new era of efficiency, transparency, and education. Through the years, he has published peer-reviewed articles on educational history, diversity, and culture as well as innovative approaches to research methods. Currently he is co-authoring a book on the socio-cultural and historical origins of American economic culture, building on the work and methods of Max Weber.
